Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026

These terms cover your use of GatherAt. By creating an event or responding to an invite, you agree to them.

Your account

You need an account to host events. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Guests do not need an account to RSVP.

What you post

You keep ownership of the photos, captions, and event details you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to store them and show them to the people you invited — nothing more. We do not use your photos for marketing.

Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to share. Hosts are responsible for their event’s content and guest list. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

Photo storage

Event photos are deleted automatically after the retention window: 90 days after the event on the free plan, 365 days on Premium. Hosts are warned 14 days beforehand. Download anything you want to keep — deletion is permanent and we cannot recover it.

Payments

Premium is sold either as a one-time unlock for a single event, or as a yearly subscription covering every event you host. Prices are shown in your local currency at purchase.

On the web, purchases are processed securely by Stripe; on the mobile apps, by Apple or Google. A one-time event unlock does not renew and cannot be cancelled, because there is nothing recurring. Yearly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime — on the web, from your account’s billing portal — and stay active until the paid period ends. Refunds are handled case by case; contact us and we’ll help.

Service availability

We work to keep GatherAt running, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or discontinue features. If we plan to shut down a feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

Liability

GatherAt is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending your use

You can stop using GatherAt and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless doing so would be unlawful.
